Aladdin's Arcade v0.75We’ve been working through the beta release of Aladdin’s Arcade, beta testing is nearly complete. Only a few more additions and updates and we will be able to call the beta run a wrap. Initially set to release Aladdin’s Arcade on June 1st, 2009, we are running well ahead of schedule.
Updates that have recently been made include:
- Improved experience tracking
- Flash game add-ons including the option to launch games in new windows, share to face book, and email links to friends
- Link tracking upgrades have been installed and finalized. Now showing 100% accurate stats.
- A large host of design updates including a recently installed background image (viewable on monitors with higher resolutions) updated views for guests, sponsor ads, too many to list…
- Directory display update installed, showing games in two columns instead of one
- Link directory display update, similar to the gaming directory update.
- Operating system recognition
- Over 300 partner links have been added (now totaling 375 links)
- Ten’s of thousands of new web pages have been crawled (Now totaling 108,880) and can be viewed as “featured sites” in our search engine.
In the near future you can expect to see:
- Additional design updates
- New games being continuously added daily (Now totaling 29,099)
- More link partners being added to our directory
- Member Experience tracking updates
- Member Avatars
- A new member drive targeted to guests and un-registered users of the site
Possible Content Installations in the next 30-90 days:
- Additional collections of Macintosh and Windows Downloads
- Retail Macintosh and Windows Games
- Message Boards and Forums
- Shout-Boxes
- Chat Rooms
- Multi-player Online Games

Beta Site UpdatesWe’d like to thank everyone who has been taking part in our beta release, so far so good! We’re installing and have installed a updates to make the site more enjoyable. Here’s a brief list of what has changed and what to expect in the not too distant future.
- Service monitor installed – you can view our realtime uptime report here
- Memory upgrade installed – the site was fast before, it’s lightening fast now
- Game browser v1.0 has been installed – this is in it’s most basic format. Viewable across the top of our web pages, allows you to access new and exciting games in just moments. Want to know more about these games? Just hover your mouse pointer over the thumbnails and a game description comes up!
- Flash game addon’s are being installed in the next day or so. These will allow you to launch games in new windows, share games with your friends via facebook or email, bookmark games, add them to your profile, ect.
- Link tracking upgrades are being installed shortly. We have noted that the current tracking system is not displaying all in clicks correctly. We’re are working to have this kink worked out as quickly as possible.
- A few design updates are being made for guests to our site (top right corner of the page is being updated).
- Down the road? Expect more games, more links, updates to our homepage, ect.

Aladdin’s Arcade Grand Opening !!Four months and eight days of development have lead up to this day. When we started this project, we had no idea of the amount of time it would take us to start from scratch and get everything up and running. This is truly and exciting day for us, a big accomplishment and a feat we underestimated from the start.
Mass amounts of development time were taken to get this site up and running, though, we still have many exciting additions we will be making between now and into early summer. Whatever comes after that will be entirely based on the direction and success of Aladdin’s Arcade.
Now, we would like to take a few moments to thank everyone who came together to help put this site together. From reaches all across the world, the programmers, designers, writers and engineers who came together were a group of some of the most talented people we have come across in years. So, a shout out to everyone who took time out of their days to help make this project happen (you know who you are).
For you, our visitors we have put together a massive collection of online video games, Windows and Mac OSX games, and a database of console games dating all the way back to the 1980’s. That’s right, we’ve brought the classics back! All of these are games can be easily located by using our new, intelligent search engine, that helps you find the games you are looking for on the consoles you own.
Members of our site enjoy additional features such as free profile pages where you can add your favorite online games, display your collection of console games, add games to your wish list for quick and easy purchase in the future, keep track of your Aladdin’s Arcade surfing habits and level up as you continue to browse and make use of our site.
Level up? Visiting links, posting comments, writing detailed game reviews, downloading games, rating games, just about everything significant that you do is tracked and points are earned for these actions. These actions will help you build respect as an avid gamer.
All of this and more is now made available on our site, so we invite you to take the time to begin browsing and find out just what makes Aladdin’s Arcade a cut above the rest.

Development ContinuesA couple of months have rolled by now since our last post. Many, many modules have been installed since then. Some of these modules include our search engine, game directory, link directory, advertising program, members area, the all important signup form, logo has been revamped, menu bar installed, and more. We are currently working on the final design update, and a few programming jobs. Hopefully we will have all of our work wrapped up shortly in order to open the doors to the world.

Milestone: Gaming Index has reached 25,000+ GamesOur complete gaming index now totals over 25,000 games. This index includes flash games, mac and windows downloads, and console games ranging from the original NES to the Playstation 3.

Milestone: 10,000+ Free Online Flash GamesOur installation of free online flash games has surpassed the 10,000 mark and will continue to grow through the coming years.
